The Client (Professional Doctor) was hoping to include home control for lighting and automation into their new architectural build home project. Smart security, which included non-obtrusive cameras, was very important for the clients. Complete home automation and lighting control were also important via wall-mounted iPads and touch button controls. This Smart Home Automation South Yarra project was a 24 months build. Our team worked alongside the client’s builder & interior designer to integrate custom audio /video, security, automated shades, gate controls, fingerprint biometrics door access, data network, and lighting control.
The challenges
This Smart Home Automation South Yarra project had to be compliant with the 6-Star Home Energy Rating.
The interior designer was European-based and made ongoing design changes to the project. European standards also gave most drawings.
The solution
We installed a universal solution for the project giving the sponsor access to security, multi-room audio, video, shades, heating/aircon from 3 wall mount touch screens on each level. The home was cabled with future technology improvements including Cat7 cables. Ceiling speakers were hidden in lighting bulkheads and slim downlight style security cameras was integrated to meet the designer clean aesthetics approach. Finger print bio-metric door access control was also included.
